Description

(MX Series routers only) Display the state of all fabric planes and the elapsed uptime.

Options

This command has no options.

Output Fields

Table 69 lists the output fields for the show chassis fabric summary command. Output fields are listed in the approximate order in which they appear.

Field Name	Field Description
Plane	Plane number.
State	State of each plane: Online—Switch Interface Board (SIB) is operational and running. Offline—SIB is powered down. Check—SIB is in the Check state because of the following reasons: SIB is not inserted properly. CRC errors are detected on the channel between the SIB and a Packet Forwarding Engine. In this scenario, the Packet Forwarding Engine uses the SIB for traffic. Packet Forwarding Engine is unable to forward traffic to another Packet Forwarding Engine using the SIB. In this scenario, the Packet Forwarding Engine stops using that SIB to forward traffic to the faulty destination PFE. Destination errors on the Packet Forwarding Engines on the SIB. For more information about the link status, issue the show chassis fabric sibs command. For information about link and destination errors, issue the show chassis fabric fpcs commands. Spare—SIB is redundant and will move to active state if one of the working SIBs fails.
Uptime	Elapsed time the plane has been online.

Plane number.

State

State of each plane:

Online—Switch Interface Board (SIB) is operational and running.

Check—SIB is in the Check state because of the following reasons:
- SIB is not inserted properly.
- CRC errors are detected on the channel between the SIB and a Packet Forwarding Engine. In this scenario, the Packet Forwarding Engine uses the SIB for traffic.
- Packet Forwarding Engine is unable to forward traffic to another Packet Forwarding Engine using the SIB. In this scenario, the Packet Forwarding Engine stops using that SIB to forward traffic to the faulty destination PFE.
- Destination errors on the Packet Forwarding Engines on the SIB.
For more information about the link status, issue the show chassis fabric sibs command. For information about link and destination errors, issue the show chassis fabric fpcs commands.
