Syntax

show interfaces queue
<egress>
<forwarding-class forwarding-class>
<interface-name interface-name>

Release Information

Command introduced in JUNOS Release 9.0 for EX Series switches.

Description

Display class-of-service (CoS) queue information for physical interfaces.

Options

none — Show detailed CoS queue statistics for all physical interfaces.

egress — (Optional) Display output queue statistics.

forwarding-class forwarding-class — (Optional) Forwarding class name for this queue. Show detailed CoS statistics for the queue associated with the specified forwarding class.

interface-name interface-name — (Optional) Show detailed CoS queue statistics for the specified interface.

Output Fields

Table 1 lists the output fields for the show interfaces queue command. Output fields are listed in the approximate order in which they appear.

Field Name

Field Description

Physical interface

Name of the physical interface.

Enabled

State of the interface. Possible values are:

  • Administratively down, Physical link is Down—The interface is turned off, and the physical link is inoperable.
  • Administratively down, Physical link is Up—The interface is turned off, but the physical link is operational and can pass packets when it is enabled.
  • Enabled, Physical link is Down—The interface is turned on, but the physical link is inoperable and cannot pass packets.
  • Enabled, Physical link is Up—The interface is turned on, and the physical link is operational and can pass packets.

Interface index

Index number of the physical interface, which reflects its initialization sequence.

SNMP ifIndex

SNMP index number for the physical interface.

Forwarding classes: supported

Number of forwarding classes supported on the specified interface.

Forwarding classes: in use

Number of forwarding classes in use on the specified interface.

Egress queues: supported

Number of output queues supported on the specified interface.

Egress queues: in use

Number of output queues in use on the specified interface.

Queue

CoS queue number.

Forwarding classes

Forwarding class name.

Queued Packets

Number of packets queued to this queue.

Queued Bytes

Number of bytes queued to this queue.

Packets

Number of packets transmitted by this queue.

Note: Ignore any packets-per-second (pps) values in the output—they are currently always zero (0) and invalid.

Bytes

Number of bytes transmitted by this queue.

Note: Ignore any bits-per-second (bps) values in the output—they are currently always zero (0) and invalid.

Tail-dropped packets

Number of arriving packets dropped because output queue buffers were full.

Note: Ignore any packets-per-second (pps) values in the output—they are currently always zero (0) and invalid.

RED-dropped packets

Number of packets dropped because of random early detection (RED):

  • Low—Number of low-loss priority TCP packets dropped because of RED.
  • High—Number of high-loss priority TCP packets dropped because of RED.

Note: Ignore any packets-per-second (pps) values in the output—they are currently always zero (0) and invalid.

RED-dropped bytes

Number of bytes dropped because of random early detection (RED):

  • Low—Number of low-loss priority TCP bytes dropped because of RED.
  • High—Number of high-loss priority TCP bytes dropped because of RED.

Note: Ignore any bits-per-second (bps) values in the output—they are currently always zero (0) and invalid.
