Subscriber Interfaces for Subscriber Access, Release 10.1
You can identify subscribers statically or
dynamically. To identify subscribers statically, you can reference
a static VLAN interface or a static IP demux interface in a dynamic
profile. To identify subscribers dynamically, you create variables
for IP demux interfaces that are dynamically created by DHCP when
subscribers log in. IP demultiplexing (demux) interfaces are logical
interfaces that share a common, underlying logical interface. IP demux
interfaces can be used to identify specific subscribers (authenticated
users) in an access network or to separate individual circuits. The
subscriber interfaces can provide different levels of services for
individual subscribers in an access network. For example, you can
apply CoS parameters for each subscriber.
