Statement introduced before JUNOS Release 7.4.
For J-series Services Routers only. Configure the client’s unique identifier. This identifier is used by the DHCP server to index its database of address bindings. Either a client identifier or the client’s MAC address is required to uniquely identify the client on the network.
client-id—A name or number that uniquely identifies the client on the network. The client identifier can be an ASCII string or hexadecimal digits.
