Description

For Gigabit Ethernet IQ and 10-Gigabit Ethernet IQ2 and IQ2-E interfaces, aggregated Ethernet with Gigabit Ethernet IQ interfaces, and Gigabit Ethernet PICs with SFPs (except the 10-port Gigabit Ethernet PIC, and the built-in Gigabit Ethernet port on the M7i platform), define the TPIDs expected to be sent or received on a particular VLAN. For each Gigabit Ethernet port, you can configure up to eight TPIDs using the tag-protocol-id statement; but only the first four TPIDs are supported on IQ2 and IQ2-E interfaces.

Options

tpids—TPIDs to be accepted on the VLAN. Specify TPIDs in hexadecimal.

Description

For Gigabit Ethernet IQ and 10-Gigabit Ethernet IQ2 and IQ2-E interfaces only, configure the outer TPID value. All TPIDs you include in input and output VLAN maps must be among those you specify at the [edit interfaces interface-name gigether-options ethernet-switch-profile tag-protocol-id [ tpids ]] hierarchy level.

Default

If the tag-protocol-id statement is not configured, the TPID value is 0x8100.
