Syntax

Command introduced before JUNOS Release 7.4.

Description

(M120, M320, and MX-series routers and T-series routing platforms only) Control the operation of the Control Board (CB).

Options

offline — Take the CB offline.

online — Bring the CB online.

slot slot-number — CB slot number:

• Routing Matrix only—If you specify the number of the T640 routing node by using the lcc number option (the recommended method), replace slot-number with a value from 0 through 7. Otherwise, replace slot-number with a value from 0 through 31. For example, the following commands have the same result:

  user@host> request chassis cb lcc 1 slot 1 offline

  user@host> request chassis cb slot 9 offline

• M320 router—Replace slot-number with a value from 0 through 1.
• MX480/MX240 routers—Replace slot-number with a value from 0 through 1.
• MX960 router—Replace slot-number with a value from 0 through 2.
