A TX Matrix platform installed in a routing matrix.

Switch Interface Board (SIB)

On T640 routing nodes and the TX Matrix platform, a switch fabric plane component that forwards packets from a source Packet Forwarding Engine to a destination Packet Forwarding Engine in a routing matrix.

A high-speed centralized switch fabric that connects multiple T640 routing nodes in a routing matrix.
