This guide describes how to use the NETCONF application programming interface (API) to configure or request information from the NETCONF server running on the Juniper Networks routing platform that runs the JUNOS software. The NETCONF API is an Extensible Markup Language (XML) application that client applications use to exchange information with the NETCONF server running on the routing platform.
