Configuring the Local Controller

The BSG works with only with an embedded VPG running on the same MS-PIC as the BSG. When configuring the VPG, specifying the BSG as the local contoller indicates that the VPG is embedded. An embedded VPG communicates with its local controller (a BSG) through internal functions rather than by means of H.248 protocol.

Step-by-Step Procedure

To configure a local controller for a VPG:

  1. Configure a VPG and give the gateway a name.
    edit services pgcp gateway intg1
  2. Configure an existing BSG as the local controller for the VPG.
    [edit services pgcp gateway intg1]
    set gateway-controller bsg-1 local-controller bsg–1
