Examining RSVP Log Messages
The Resource Reservation Protocol (RSVP) uses the messages listed in Table 18 to establish and remove paths for data flows, establish and remove reservation information, and confirm the establishment of reservations. The RSVP tracing log file provides useful information about RSVP traffic in the network. This chapter describes the purpose of each RSVP message (except the PathErr and ResvErr messages) that can appear in the output of the
rsvp-logfile configured at the [edit protocols rsvp traceoptions] hierarchy level. For information on RSVP PathErr and ResvErr messages, see Examining RSVP Error Messages.
NOTE: To display tracing output, make sure that RSVP trace options are enabled. See Working with RSVP Tracing, for information on configuring RSVP trace options.
