Monitoring the Router Chassis
You monitor the router to ensure that the installed components are operating normally and that packets are being received and forwarded to their destination. (See Table 30.)

Replace the failed component with one that you know works and check its status.
- Locate the component serial number ID label.
- Obtain a Return Material Authorization (RMA) from JTAC.
- Pack the component and ship it.
