Statement introduced in JUNOS Release 7.4.

Description

Specify the minimum number of characters required in plain-text passwords. Newly created passwords must meet this requirement.

Default

For JUNOS software, the minimum number of characters for plain-text passwords is six. For JUNOS-FIPS software, the minimum number of characters for plain-text passwords is 10.

Options

length—The minimum number of characters the password must include.
