The JUNOS routing protocol process supports a wide variety of routing protocols, including Intermediate System-to-Intermediate System (IS-IS), Open Shortest Path First (OSPF), Routing Information Protocol (RIP), Routing Information Protocol Next Generation (RIPng), and Border Gateway Protocol (BGP). This chapter explains the general terminology and concepts related to configuring and using the routing protocol process and the routing protocols.
