Statement introduced before JUNOS Release 7.4.

Description

Maximum transmission unit (MTU) size for the media or protocol. The default MTU size depends on the device type. Not all devices allow you to set an MTU value, and some devices have restrictions on the range of allowable MTU values. Changing the media MTU or protocol MTU causes an interface to be deleted and added again.
