Software Naming Convention

All JUNOS software conforms to the following naming convention:




package-release-edition-cfxxx-signed.comp

For example:



jinstall-9.2R1.8–domestic-signed.tgz

where:

package—The name of the JUNOS package.
cfxxx—(Optional) When used, designates the CompactFlash card size to use with the software.
signed— Specifies that the software includes a digital signature for verification purposes.
