Editing User Information
You can make changes to user information when personnel
changes occur.
To edit user information, follow these steps:
- In the JUNOScope main window, click Settings > Users >
Local Authentication. The Local Authentication dialog box appears.
- Select the check box for the user that you want to edit.
- Click Edit. The Edit User dialog box appears.

- Edit the user information as needed:
- In the Username text box, type the name of the user you
want. The username can be up to 20 characters long.
- In the Password text box, type the user password. The
user password should be between 6 and 128 characters long.
A JUNOScope software password should meet the following
restrictions:
- Allow the full range of ASCII characters (except control
characters).
- Enforce a minimum of 6 characters.
- Require a change in the character set, including uppercase,
lowercase, numeric, and punctuation.
- In the Confirm Password text box, retype the user password
to confirm it.
- In the User Groups drop-down list box, select the user
groups for the user. Press Ctrl + click to randomly select several
user groups. Press Shift + click to select several user groups in
a row. For more information about user groups and permissions, see Predefined User Groups, User Group Permission Levels, and Permissions and JUNOScope Feature Access Privileges.
- Click OK.
The user information is changed in the JUNOScope
software database. The changed username or permissions appear in the
Users dialog box.
