What It Means

This LSP error event indicates that a Resource Reservation Protocol (RSVP) Admission control failure occurred along the LSP path. This event is logged because of on an error notification (PathErr message) received from RSVP for the label-switched path.

Cause

This LSP event is caused by inadequate bandwidth on a link along the LSP path. The available bandwidth could not satisfy the requested traffic parameters and no other sessions were pre-emptied to accommodate this request.

Action

This error event is not generated by Juniper Networks routers. However, when this event is received by a Juniper Networks router, it appears in the log output of the show mpls lsp extensive command.
