Statement introduced in JUNOS Release 8.3.

Description

For J Series Services Routers only. Stores log files used for accounting data in the mfs/var/log directory (located on DRAM) instead of the cf/var/log directory (located on the compact flash drive). This feature is useful for minimizing read/write traffic on the router’s compact flash drive.

Note: If log files for accounting data are stored on DRAM, these files are lost when you reboot the router. Therefore, you should backup these files periodically.
