Actions to Be Taken for Subscriber Traffic
When IDP processes subscriber traffic that it receives,
it identifies malicious traffic as defined by IDP security rules that
are configured within IDP. For SRC-managed subscriber traffic, you
can configure the SRC software to:
- Redirect subscriber Web requests to an IDP captive portal
page that provides information about the problem encountered.
- Activate services to take actions such as limiting the
bandwidth available to the subscriber.
- Send e-mail to the subscriber to provide information about
a problem encountered by mapping IP addresses to subscriber names.
- Enable in IDP actions that the SRC software takes in response
to an incident reported by IDP
