metric-style narrow

Syntax

[ no ] metric-style narrow [ transition ] [ level-1 | level-2 | level-1-2 ]

Command introduced before JUNOSe Release 7.1.0.

Description

Configures the router to generate and accept only old-style IS-IS TLVs with narrow (six-bit) metric fields. If you issue this command, the value configured with the isis metric command can range only from 0–63. The no version restores the default value, which is to generate and accept only old-style TLVs with narrow (six-bit) metric fields.

Options

transition—Configures the router to additionally accept new-style TLVs with wider metric fields
level-1—Configuration applies only to level 1 routing
level-2—Configuration applies only to level 2 routing
level-1-2—Configuration applies to both level 1 and level 2 routing
