metric-style wide

Description: 

Configures the router to generate and accept only new-style IS-IS TLVs with wider metric fields. If you issue this command, the value configured with the isis metric command can range from 0–16777215. The no version restores the default value, which is to generate and accept only old-style TLVs with narrow (six-bit) metric fields.

Syntax: 

[ no ] metric-style wide [ transition ] [ level-1 | level-2 | level-1-2 ]

• transition—Configures the router to additionally accept old-style TLVs with narrow (six-bit) metric fields
• level-1—Configuration applies only to level 1 routing
• level-2—Configuration applies only to level 2 routing
• level-1-2—Configuration applies to both level 1 and level 2 routing
