encapsulation bridge1483

Description: 

Configures bridged Ethernet as the encapsulation method on an interface and optionally assigns a MAC address to the interface. The no version removes bridged Ethernet as the encapsulation method on the interface.

Syntax: 

encapsulation bridge1483 [ mac-address macAddress ]

no encapsulation bridge1483

• macAddress—User-configured MAC address for the interface. The MAC address format is a dotted triple of four-digit hexadecimal numbers; for example, 0090.1a40.4c7c. Multicast MAC address cannot be configured on bridged Ethernet interfaces.
