Description: 

Assigns a text description or alias to an ATM 1483 interface. The no version removes the text description or alias. Use the show atm subinterface command to display the text description.

Syntax: 

atm atm1483 description name

no atm atm1483 description

• name—Text string or alias for the ATM 1483 interface; up to 255 characters
