NOTE: Before you configure VPLS, we recommend that you be thoroughly familiar with transparent bridging, Border Gateway Protocol (BGP), Multiprotocol Label Switching (MPLS), Label Distribution Protocol (LDP), BGP/MPLS virtual private networks (VPNs), and layer 2 services over MPLS.
