slot erase
Syntax
slot erase slotNum [ subsystem ]

Command introduced before JUNOSe Release
7.1.0.
Description
Erases from NVS the type and configuration of the
previous module in the specified slot, and allows you to configure
a new module. Issue this command before you install a different type
of module in a slot. There is no no version.
Options
-
slotNum—Number of the selected
slot in the router; for ERX-7xx models, a number in the range 0–6;
for ERX-14xx models, a number in the range 0–13; for the ERX-310
router, a number in the range 1–2; for the E120 router, a number
in the range 0–5; for the E320 router, a number in the range
0–16
-
subsystem—Type of subsystem
on the E120 and E320 routers; use when the specified slotNumber is a slot that contains an SRP module
- srp—Indicates the SC on one or both SRP modules;
specify this keyword to erase only the configuration of the portion
of the SC on the individual SRP module
- fabric—Indicates the portion of the switch fabric
on the SRP modules; specify this keyword to erase only the configuration
of an individual fabric slice
