Syntax

authentication-key [ 0 | 8 ] authKey

Command introduced before JUNOSe Release 7.1.0.

Description

Enables simple password authentication and assigns a password used by OSPF remote neighbors. The no version deletes the password.

Options

• 0—Indicates the authKey is entered in unencrypted form (plaintext); this is the default option
• 8—Indicates the authKey is entered in encrypted form (ciphertext)
• authKey—Password; string of up to 8 characters
