Disabling Ethernet Interfaces

Use the shutdown command to disable an Ethernet interface.

shutdown

• Use to disable an Ethernet interface.
• Example

  host1(config-if)#shutdown

• Use the no version to restart a disabled Ethernet interface.
• See shutdown.
