Paragon Automation allows its users authentication and role-based access control (RBAC) to its resources and services; that is, you are allowed access only to resources and actions that are defined in the roles assigned to you. For example, if you are assigned the sp-operator role, you can only view details of objects, such as devices, alarms, alerts, device templates, configuration templates, and other objects. You do not have th permission to create, add, modify, or delete objects.
The use of access controls allows the assignment of different access privileges to different users.
Paragon Automation provides the following default users and permissions:
sp-admin: Users with the SP Admin role have full access to the Paragon Automation GUI and API capabilities. They can add users, create custom roles and user groups.
sp-operator: Users with the SP operator role have read-only access to the Paragon Automation GUI.
The other default roles provided are tenant-admin, tenant-operator, opco-admin, opco-operator. However, these roles are not supported in Paragon Automation Release 21.1.
