Removing a J Series or SRX Series Device from NSM Management (NSM Procedure)
Deleting a device removes all device configuration information from the management system, but might be the best solution if you need to perform extensive troubleshooting or reconfigure the device locally.
To remove a J Series or SRX Series device from NSM management:
- In the NSM navigation tree, select Device Manager> Devices.
- Click the Device Tree tab and then select the device that you want to remove from NSM management.
- Right-click and select Delete, or click the Delete button. The Delete dialog box appears. If the device is referenced in a firewall rule, this dialog box displays the rules that reference it. You can click the links that appear to display the security policies to view or edit those references.
- Remove the device by clicking Next. The Delete dialog box displays the progress of the deletion.
- After NSM finishes, click Finish to close the dialog box.
