Overview of Installing Licenses
Contrail Service orchestration uses he following workflow for license installation:
- You upload licenses to the central microservices host.
- You execute installation instructions on the central microservices host.
- The central microservices host sends installation instructions to the regional microservices server that manages the device
- The regional microservices host the executes the installation instructions on the device.
You can upload licenses using either Administration Portal or the API. You can install licenses using the license tool, which offers a convenient command line interface (CLI), or through the API.
