Setting Up the Cloud CPE Centralized Deployment Model

After you have installed the Cloud CPE Centralized Deployment Model, you use Administration Portal or the Contrail Service Orchestration APIs to set up your virtual network. This process involves creating and configuring objects for:

    • Virtualized infrastructure managers (VIMs).
    • Central and regional network points of presence (POPs).
    • The element management system (EMS) for the VNFs.
    • Resources and virtual networks used by Network Service Orchestrator and Contrail Cloud Platform for orchestrating network services.
    • Customers, their administrators, and their sites.

After you have designed network services and published the network service profiles to the catalog, you also allocate network service profiles to customers, who can then access the services through Customer Portal or a portal that you provide.

For detailed information about using Administration Portal, see the Contrail Service Orchestration User Guide. For information about setting up the Cloud CPE Centralized Deployment Model with the APIs, see Cloud CPE Centralized Deployment Model Setup with APIs Overview.
