Viewing Connections Between Virtual Machines and a Physical Switch
You can pictorially view the virtual machines to physical switch connectivity and virtual machine to virtual machine connectivity using the Virtual View Connectivity page. This page also displays the VLAN connectivity between these entities.
You can open the Virtual Network Connectivity page from the Physical Network view (Logical, Location, Device) or from the Virtual Network view. The level of detail that is displayed depends on the view from which you open this page:
- When you open this page from the Virtual Network view, you can view the connectivity from the selected virtual machine to the virtual switch.
- When you open this page from the Physical Network view, you can view the connectivity from the selected physical switch to a distributed virtual switch and to the virtual machines that are connected to the virtual switch.
