To add a VLAN:
The Add VLAN page appears.
Table 101 provides guidelines on using the fields on the Add VLAN page.

VLAN Name | Enter a unique name for the VLAN. Note: The VLAN text field is disabled when vlan-tagging is not enabled. |
VLAN ID Type | Select a type of VLAN ID. The available options are:

VLAN ID | Enter a unique identification number for the VLAN from 1 through 4094. If no value is specified, the default is 1. |
Description | Enter a brief description for the VLAN. |

L2 Interfaces | Enter the interfaces to be associated with the VLAN. The available options are as follows:

Input Filter | To apply an input firewall filter to an interface, select the firewall filter from the list. |
Output Filter | To apply an output firewall filter to an interface, select the firewall filter from the list. |
| IPv4 Address Note: This option is available only when you select VLAN ID type as Single. | |
IPv4 Address | Enter the IPv4 address of the VLAN. |
Subnet | Enter the range of logical addresses within the address space that is assigned to an organization. For example, 255.255.255.0. You can also specify the address prefix. |
IP Address | Enter the IP address of the VLAN. The available options are as follows:

| IPv6 Address Note: This option is available only when you select VLAN ID type as Single. | |
IPv6 Address | Enter the IPv6 address of the VLAN. |
Prefix | Select the destination prefix of the VLAN. |
