Syntax

Command introduced in Junos OS Release 12.3.
Description
Display the status of a virtual machine (VM) instance.
Options
instance-name | — | (Optional) Name of the VM instance. |
(brief | detail) | — | (Optional) Level of description of display. |
Additional Information
For commands with an optional instance-name, if the instance-name is omitted, the command will be executed on all VM instances.
If neither brief nor detail option is specified, the default is brief.

Output Fields

Field Name | Field Description |

VM name | Name of the VM instance. |
Compute cluster | Name of the compute cluster. |
VM status | Status of VM instance: active (the VM is up) or inactive (the VM is down). When the status is listed as ACTIVE, it does not mean that the operating system on the VM has come up. You need to telnet to the VM console to verify if the OS has come up or not and if everything is running properly. |
Compute node name | Name of the compute node. |
VM UUID | Unique identifier of the VM instance. |
Number of CPUs | Number of CPU in the VM instance. |
VM disk image | Name of VM disk image including package, version, and image (package-name/version/image-name). |
Memory (GB) | Memory in gigabytes. |
Console | Identifier of console. |
VM PID | Process ID of VM instance. |
Name of the VM interface | IP address of the VM. |
Name of the secondary disk or disks | Size of secondary disk. |
