    Configuring BFD Next-Hop Verification for IPv6 Static Routes

    This section describes how to configure BFD next-hop verification settings in two adjacent IPv6 peers for enabling BFD next-hop verification between the peers. To enable BFD next-hop verification between two adjacent IPv6 peers, you configure each peer as follows:

    1. Configure peer A with the next-hop address as the IPv6 address of peer B’s connected interface along with the desired intervals and keyword options.
      host1(config)#ipv6 route 3ffe::/32 2222::1 verify bfd-liveness-detection minimum-interval 500 multiplier 2
    2. Configure peer B with the next-hop address as the IPv6 address of peer A’s connected interface along with the desired intervals and keyword options.
      host1(config)#ipv6 route 4ffe::/32 2222::2 verify bfd-liveness-detection minimum-interval 500 multiplier 2
