Collecting IPv6 Service Accounting Statistics Separately for Dual-Stack Subscribers Overview

In a dual-stack environment, you can send IPv6 service accounting statistics separately to the accounting server when either a combination of IPv4 and IPv6 subscribers or an IPv6 subscriber is configured. The Service Manager tracks the following JunosE objects passed back through the env.setResult method to collect IPv6 service accounting statistics:

    • secondary-input-stat-clacl
    • input-stat-clacl
    • output-stat-clacl
    • input-stat-epg
    • output-stat-epg

Note: Collecting the Service Manager statistics collection is a three-part procedure. You must configure the statistics information in the service definition macro file, enable the collection of the statistics by using either RADIUS or the command-line interface (CLI), and enable the collection of the statistics for the policy referenced in the service macro by using the statistics enabled keyword in the command for assigning the policy to a profile at the time of attaching the policy to an interface. For detailed information about Service Manager statistics, see Configuring Service Manager Statistics.

The collected statistics are sent to the accounting server separately through the Acct-Stop and Interim-Acct RADIUS messages by using IPv6 accounting RADIUS vendor-specific attributes (VSAs) if the inclusion of these attributes in RADIUS messages is enabled using the radius include command.

Note: For more information about the RADIUS VSAs, see Juniper Networks VSAs Supported for Subscriber AAA Accounting Messages and Juniper Networks VSAs. For more information about the usage of the radius include command, see CLI Commands Used to Configure Juniper Networks VSAs.

The following RADIUS VSAs are used for sending the IPv6 service accounting statistics to the accounting server:

    • Ipv6-Acct-Input-Octets [26-151]
    • Ipv6-Acct-Output-Octets [26-152]
    • Ipv6-Acct-Output-Octets [26-152]
    • Ipv6-Acct-Output-Packets [26-154]
    • Ipv6-Acct-Input-Gigawords [26-155]
    • Ipv6-Acct-Output-Gigawords [26-156]
