Enabling and Configuring the Trap Severity Level on a Global Basis

You can use the snmp-server enable traps command to enable and configure SNMP trap generation on a global basis. Traps are unsolicited messages sent from an SNMP server (agent) to an SNMP client (manager). If you do not specify a trap option, all options are enabled or disabled for the trap type.

For more information about supported trap categories and trap severity levels, see Trap Categories and Trap Severity Levels sections in SNMP Trap Overview.
