boot config

Syntax

boot config { cnfFilename [ once ] | scrFilename | running-configuration | startup-configuration | factory-defaults }

no boot config

Release Information

Command introduced before JunosE Release 7.1.0.

Description

Specifies how the router obtains its startup configuration. The no version clears a previous request to reboot in a specified manner; the next reboot uses the configuration saved in nonvolatile storage.

Caution: All boot config commands except for boot config running-configuration and boot config startup-configuration erase the existing running configuration when you reboot the router. Before executing this command, you might want to save the current configuration to a .cnf file using the copy running-configuration command.
