Statement introduced before JUNOS Release 7.4.

Description

For ATM, Ethernet, and SONET/SDH interfaces only, monitor packet flows from another routing platform. If you include this statement in the configuration, the interface does not send keepalives or alarms, and does not participate actively on the network.

For ATM and Ethernet interfaces, you can include this statement on the physical interface only.

For SONET/SDH interfaces, you can include this statement on the logical interface only.
