Description
Set the byte encoding on a DS0 or T1 interface to use 7 bits per byte or 8 bits per byte.

Note: When configuring T1 interfaces on the 10-port Channelized E1/T1 IQE PIC, byte-encoding must be set at the [edit interface t1-fpc/pic/port] hierarchy level. |
Default
The default byte encoding is 8 bits per byte (nx64).
Options

nx56—Use 7 bits per byte.
