Statement introduced in Junos OS Release 12.3 for ACX Series Routers.
Description
Configure the IP address or subnet of the remote PTP host and the local PTP master interface. This statement enables you to specify the following information:
- The exact IP address of a PTP host
- A subnet mask instead of the exact IP address of each
host. The ACX Series router acting as the master boundary clock processes
unicast negotiation requests from any host—within the subnet—which
sends unicast negotiation requests. The maximum number of clock clients
is 512.
Note: You can configure the maximum number of clients (512 ) in the following combination:
- Automatic clients 256.
- Manual and secure clients 256—Any combination of manual and secure clients is allowed as long as the combined total amounts to 256.
