    disable-failover-protocol (L2TP LAC)

    Syntax

    disable-failover-protocol;

    Hierarchy Level

    [edit services l2tp]

    Release Information

    Statement introduced in Junos OS Release 11.2.

    Description

    Configure the LAC to use only the silent failover method when resynchronizing with the peer LNS in the event of LAC failover. This command prevents the default behavior, wherein the LAC first attempts to use the failover protocol and then falls back on the silent failover method. This configuration can be useful when routers that act as the LNS are configured for silent failover or incorrectly negotiate use of the failover protocol even though they do not support it.
