    Statement introduced in Junos OS 11.3 for the QFX Series.

    Description

    Configure a VRRP master to fail over to a backup immediately—without waiting for the preemption hold time to expire—when a tracked route goes down. Otherwise, the master waits for the hold time to expire before it initiates a failover when a tracked route goes down.

    When the tracked route comes up again, the new backup (original master) router waits for the preemption hold time to expire before it reasserts mastership.

    Default

    asymmetric-hold-time is disabled.
