Statement introduced in Junos OS Release 15.1.

Description

Duplicate address detection determines whether an address is already in use by another IPv6-enabled node. To disable duplicate address detection for a specific interface, include the dad-disable statement at the [edit interfaces interface-name unit logical-unit-number family inet6] hierarchy level. To re-enable duplicate address detection and restore the default settings, include the no-dad-disable statement at the [edit interfaces interface-name unit logical-unit-number family inet6] hierarchy level.

Duplicate address detection is enabled by default.
