Release Information
Statement introduced in Junos OS Release 14.2R3.
Description
Enables uplink failure detection with a candidate uplink policy in a Junos Fusion fabric.
A candidate uplink policy allows you to specify how uplink failure detection is applied in a Junos Fusion fabric. A candidate uplink policy is configured using the [edit policy-options satellite-policy candidate-uplink-port-profile] hierarchy.
A candidate uplink policy must be configured to enable uplink failure detection on a QFX5100 switch acting as a satellite device.
Default
Uplink failure detection is disabled.
If uplink failure detection is enabled without a candidate uplink policy on an EX4300 switch acting as a satellite device, uplink failure detection is enabled for all uplink port interface links on the satellite device in the Junos Fusion fabric.
If uplink failure detection is enabled without a candidate uplink policy on a QFX5100 switch acting as a satellite device, uplink failure detection is disabled for all uplink port interface links until a candidate uplink policy is configured.
