Known Issues

This section lists the known issues in hardware and software in Junos OS Release 14.2R7 for Junos Fusion Provider Edge.

For the most complete and latest information about known Junos OS defects, use the Juniper Networks online Junos Problem Report Search application.

Junos Fusion

  • On a Junos Fusion Provider Edge topology, if you configure 3000 VLANs and 3000 IRB interfaces in your topology, commit the configuration, and immediately issue show and clear operational mode commands, the system might be slow to respond (more than 10 seconds) but does recover eventually. PR1076345
  • On a Junos Fusion Provider Edge topology, if you enable MC-LAG over an IRB interface and perform a graceful Routing Engine switchover, the system might experience traffic loss of up to 60 percent of the traffic for 90 seconds and a drop in the Address Resolution Protocol (ARP) count. PR1080192
  • On a Junos Fusion Provider Edge topology running multicast, if you disable and reenable a satellite device, the PIM upstream interface state might not be updated correctly. PR1091449
  • On a Junos Fusion Provider Edge topology running multicast, if you delete multicast routes from native aggregation device ports and extended ports, the PIM join (s,g) states might still appear in the output of the show pim join summary command. PR1092192
  • On a Junos Fusion Provider Edge topology, when unicast next hops for the satellite device extended ports are deleted and added, if the routing chip memory is not freed, a small memory leak occurs during the next-hop deletion. If the churn happens for an extended period, the Flexible PIC Concentrator (FPC) might run out of memory and stop operating. PR1114369

Satellite Software

  • On a Junos Fusion topology where the QFX5100-96S is deployed as a satellite device, you cannot channelize the 40-Gigabit Ethernet ports. PR1052225
  • On a Junos Fusion topology, if you configure an outgoing firewall or policer to drop packets prior to transmission, the logical interfaces of satellite device extended ports that appear in the output of the show interfaces extensive command might include packets in the statistics counter that have been dropped but not forwarded. PR1078304
  • On a Junos Fusion Provider Edge topology, you might not be able to disable auto-negotiation on fiber-based, Gigabit Ethernet ports in a QFX5100 switch acting as a satellite device. PR1183112
