Changes in Behavior and Syntax
This section lists the changes in behavior of Junos OS features and changes in the syntax of Junos OS statements and commands from Junos OS Release 15.1X53-D55 for EX2300 and EX3400 switches.
Layer 2 Features
- Layer 2 Protocol Tunneling (L2PT) (EX2300 and EX3400
switches)—Starting in Junos OS Release 15.1X53-D55,
EX2300 and EX3400 switches support Layer 2 protocol tunneling (L2PT)
using the set protocols layer2-control mac-rewrite interface interface-name protocol command. The CLI includes
options to configure an interface to tunnel any of the following Layer
2 protocols: CDP, GVRP, IEEE 802.3AH, LACP, LLDP, MVRP, STP (as well
as RSTP and MSTP), VSTP, and VTP.
