New and Changed Features
This section lists the new and changed features in Connectivity Services Director Release 4.0R1:
Support for RFC 2544 test methodology for ACX Series Universal Metro Routers and MX Series 5G Universal Routing Platforms—Starting with Release 4.0R1, Connectivity Services Director supports the RFC 2544 test methodology. Using RFC 2544 test methodology, you can benchmark interconnected network devices by measuring parameters such as throughput, burstability, frame loss, and latency. The test methodology allows you to define various test parameters such as the different frame sizes to be tested (64, 128, 256, 512, 1024, 1280, and 1518 bytes), the test time for each test iteration, the frame format (IP/UDP), and so forth.
The RFC 2544 test feature is available from the Services Activation Director (SAD) UI. You can access it using the path Services Activation Director > OAM-RFC2544-Test. For more information, see RFC 2544 Testing Overview.
