    Enabling Software-Defined Networking in the Cloud CPE Selfcare Application for MX Series Routers

    This topic is intended for cCPE service providers.

    This topic describes how to enable software-defined networking (SDN) in the cCPE Selfcare Portal. cCPE Selfcare Application uses SDN to configure and manage Contrail-based virtual CPE services.

    Note: You must have Super Administrator privileges to enable SDN capabilities in the Selfcare Portal.

    Note: You cannot modify the SDN application settings if another user is currently modifying the application settings. If you attempt to do this, a pop-up message identifies the user who is currently modifying the application settings.

    Best Practice: We recommend that you do not navigate to other pages or other Junos Space Network Management Platform applications when modifying the application settings. Save all your changes before you navigate to other pages in the Selfcare Portal or other Junos Space Network Management Platform applications.

    To enable SDN capabilities in the cCPE Selfcare Portal:

    1. From the main Junos Space Network Management Platform task pane, select Platform > Administration > Applications.

      The Applications page is displayed.

    2. Select Selfcare Portal from the list of applications.
    3. In the top-right corner of the Selfcare Portal, select Actions > Modify Application Settings.

      The Administration page is displayed in the content pane.

    4. Select Features: view/configure.

      The Features page is displayed.

    5. Select Sdn: view/configure.

      The SDN page is displayed.

    6. Select all check boxes including: Admin gui, Api, and User gui.
    7. Select Save.
    8. Select Modify.
