Creating a New NAT Service Instance

The basic NAT service enables access from a customer Layer 3 VPN in the cCPE customer network to the Internet. cCPE customer network administrators can create, modify, delete, and monitor NAT services through the Selfcare Portal.

Note: When you configure the basic NAT service, traffic is routed through a default route to the NAT device. The scope of the route depends on the configuration of the routing policy for the customer VPN.

Before you can create a new NAT service, your service provider must complete the following tasks:

    1. Configuring Public Address Pools
    2. Configuring Services Interfaces

To create a new NAT service:

    1. In the Selfcare Portal task pane, select Administration > Service Management.

The Service Management page is displayed showing a tab for each of the configured services.

    2. Select the NAT tab.

      The NAT page is displayed.

    3. From the Site list, select the name of the site for the NAT service.
    4. From the Access Link list, select the name of the access link for the NAT service.
    5. In the Number of addresses field, specify the number of public addresses needed for the NAT service.
    6. Select Create to create the instance.
